Ms. Greenwell, I also teach elementary and think this would be a fun project to use with my students. I did not have any issues with creating this blog. I also like the beach and added a similar picture to my pizza glyph!

I also teach elementary and agree that this would be a great activity to do with my students. I didn't have any problems with creating my Pizza Glyph, therefore I think primary students would be able to attempt this project. I also like the beach!!

I agree! This would be a great ice breaker. My only concern is being able to teach all of my students how to do this at one time since our computer lab is limited. How would you teach your kindergarten class? A whole lab? Or a few at a time?

My wife is a K teacher as well and I showed this to her and she thought it was pretty cool to use. She made a good point that since a lot of little ones may not have that technology skill built in them just yet. She would used construction paper for the shapes and just let them draw. Later in the year she would incorporate the computer. Just food for thought
